To me, Web 2.0 defines a set of ever-changing tools used to create
and share content and opinions with other people. This technology focuses on
easy-to-use applications that allow almost anyone to express their ideas on the
internet, and gives other people access to that material so that they can read
it and comment on it just as easily.
- Blogger - Allows users to easily create a blog to share their thoughts and ideas.
- Flickr - Store and share photos with friends and family.
- Google Earth - Allows you to see maps of the world, you can also create and post things on a map.
- Google Reader - A tool that will put all of the websites you read in one place.
- Jing - A website that will create screencasts which will make teaching how to use technology a breeze.
- Pinterest - Browse pictures and pin them to your boards. A great way to store links to great websites.
- Skype - instant message or talk to people around the world. A great way to communicate with teachers, students, friends, and family members.
- Teachertube - A website full of educational videos and lesson plans created for teachers and students.
- Twitter - A quick and easy way to communicate important school information in 140 characters or less.
